Position Summary

Responsible for performing all HR activities and daily operations for our site in Franklin, Massachusetts. Ensuring the company’s goals are being achieved by supporting, implementing and sustaining (global) human resources programs and company initiatives. Providing and reviewing HR services including policies, procedures, talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, records management, benefits and compensation, performance management and training and development. We are looking for a hands on professional who enjoys acting on different levels, working in a manufacturing company and being part of a global team. Reporting to the VP Global HR.

Job Duties:

  • Partners with leadership and site management to align human resources programs with business objectives. Promotes a company culture that is consistent with the vision, mission and values of AR Metallizing;
  • Drives employee engagement and retention by working with managers on site and with HR peers on other sites to leverage best practices globally;
  • Responsible for talent acquisition in Franklin by working closely together with Internal Recruiter to attract & on board the right talent;
  • Reinforces the performance management process, including employee development, training needs and linking this to the compensation philosophy;
  • Supports & guides local managers in their business & talent needs and completes projects that helps drive the business forward;
  • Provides local HR practice excellence to fulfill all legislation requirements related to federal, state and industry-specific regulatory compliance (industrial relations).
  • Identifies, implements and coordinates employee training and development programs based on the performance management, onboarding & organizational EHS required program;
  • Administers compensation, recognition and benefit programs. Evaluates on salary benchmarking and recommends for improvement to remain competitive and fiscally responsible. Leads the annual benefit review process analyzing costs and facilitating open enrollment meetings;
  • Being able to manage and review the payroll process independently.

Position Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree; minimum professional certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience; experience in manufacturing industry desirable
  • Great interpersonal & communication skills at all levels

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Process Operators – Coater, Slitter, Metallizer, Sheeter The Process Operator is an integral part of our manufacturing team. Primary responsibilities include set up and operation of any of the following machines-coater, slitter, metallizer, or sheeter while ensuring customer satisfaction, quality, and safety. This position reports to a Shift Supervisor. Work schedule will be 12 hour rotating shifts either days or evenings, but will require flexibility and the ability to work overtime if needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operates coating, slitting, metalizing, or sheeting machines
  • Load rolls of paper onto the machines.
  • Set up machine within established tolerance levels.
  • Monitor all necessary adjustments.
  • Operate overhead hoist, trucks and dollies to transport materials to and from machine.
  • Work from production schedules, work orders, specification sheets, checklists and verbal instructions to attain required production quantities with appropriate quality levels.
  • Monitor quality of product throughout process.
  • Monitor condition of equipment and process control devices to insure that they are in proper working condition.
  • Conduct various tests to determine whether product complies with established specification.
  • Identify malfunctions, process problems and unusual conditions and report such situations to Supervisor.
  • Take active role in the analysis and troubleshooting process to correct problems.
  • Clean machine and work area in accordance to established specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar machine operator positions a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds required.
  • Must be capable of using judgment to plan and perform set ups and operate within standard procedures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding English required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety policies and regulations as well as basic product and process documentation.
  • Must be capable of using judgment to plan and perform set ups and operate within standard procedures.
  • Proficient in basic math. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic; i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, including decimals and fractions, simple use of formulas, charts, drawings, specifications, schedules, checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data where interpretation is required.
  • Good communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Experience with 5S a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus.

Position Summary

The Production Shift Supervisor directs all activities within the production area on a defined shift to optimize performance and efficiencies while emphasizing EHS compliance, product quality and employee engagement. We are currently looking for supervisor that can perform 2nd and 3rd Shift. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing Operations.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and supervise the overall production execution on shift to reach or exceed efficiency goals. Work closely with the team to consistently produce quality products which meet or exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by promoting safe employee behavior and conformance to establish practices and procedures complying with company and legal standard.
  • Fully utilize the ISO document system to keep the processes from exceeding normal variation according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor report deviations from production targets and take necessary steps to correct deficiencies.
  • Train and develop new and experienced team members
  • Provide troubleshooting/breakdown recovery assistance in a safe and efficient manner with the minimum waste of time and materials.
  • Strive for continuous improvement through root cause analysis and implementation of control devices such as preventative maintenance and documented work instructions.
  • Maintain a commitment to 5S for an organized and clean work environment that meets or exceeds housekeeping expectations.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to strike for future success.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises approximately twenty production employees. In accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, supervisory responsibilities include talent acquisition, training & development, planning, performance management, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Engineering Technology or equivalent;
  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting;
  • Hands on leadership skills and ability to engage & motivate employees;
  • Sense of ownership with a solution oriented attitude;
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Analyzing, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience in production/timekeeping software

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager provides leadership and guidance in establishing an effective and robust quality assurance system that promotes customer satisfaction and positively impacts the financial performance of the site. He/she is accountable for the overall development and implementation of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and for ISO 9001 compliance. As a key member of the management team, lead the Quality Department as a result driven leader, building trust and credibility throughout all levels of the organization. Create and model an ownership mindset throughout all levels of the site by measuring KPI’s for all departments and the plant through personal and team accountability. Drives continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Assurance Manager leads quality efforts with functional groups (sales, engineering, manufacturing, planning, etc.) and facilitates the activity to develop and define effective processes. In addition, the position manages the internal audit, CAPA and document control systems. Reports directly to the Site Manager.

Job Duties:

  • Initiates, implements and leads quality improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the company’s product lines.
  • Educates and trains employees as to their impact in the quality management system.
  • Develops, implements, manages and integrates a QMS for manufacturing plants.
  • Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
  • Designs, implements and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
  • Performs root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.
  • Analyzes customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.
  • Develops quality planning methods for all product lines.
  • Develops process certification standards and assist in process certification.
  • Monitors vendor performance and establish criteria and rating system for critical vendors.
  • Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
  • Oversees calibration and testing programs.
  • Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
  • Participates in internal and external quality audits.
  • Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
  • Manage, coordinate, and oversee all activities for maintaining/obtaining QMS certifications such as ISO9001.
  • Effectively manage the company’s corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) system.

Position Requirements: 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, chemical or mechanical engineering or business administration preferred

Certifications preferred:

Certified Quality Engineer

Six Sigma green or black belt

ISO 9001 internal auditor certification

Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing company 10 years
  • Supervisory experience 5 years
  • QMS leadership in an ISO 9001 certified company preferred

Position Summary

As an international sales manager you will identify, evaluate and manage (new) metallized paper label business and marketing initiatives to create demand for metallized paper. In this position you are responsible for developing relationships throughout the value chain with a specific focus on end users and you will be accountable for creating pull through of our end user channel. Reporting line to VP Sales and Marketing Europe, Asia and Africa.

Position Summary

The ICT employee will support the IT team in all its aspects. This person will bring insight into best practices and be part of the implementation process and operation of the Dynamics software in all our production sites. He will be responsible for the first line support.

Job Duties:

·       Guides end user training, specifications, industry best practices and system testing;

·       Displays the ability to communicate at end user level and explain details of the program in non-technical terms;

·       Troubleshoots issues including recommending and overseeing resolution to issues;

·       Works closely with Operations to fully understand their needs and provide recommendations on the types of reports needed to accomplish business goals;

·       Remains current on all training and upgrades to the systems to ensure consistent and reliable operation;

·       Provides infrastructural support for various departments.
