Position:      Junior Financial Controller

Department: Finance

Reports To:   Group accounting supervisor

Position Summary

Assists in the development and implementation of financial analysis project , compiles data for annual budget and cash flow reports. Monitor accounting activities for the Italian site. Work with finance teams and senior management to provide financial analysis on a regular basis to drive strategic and tactical decision-making. Monitors and analyzes general ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. Supervises or performs major account analysis. Performs trade working capital analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis, business analysis, profitability and cost analysis, and present to management.
  • Provide financial planning analysis and support to management, including budgeting and forecasting processes for cash and operating performance.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly financial reports, charts and other data.
  • Prepare financial data for business KPIs and metrics, analyze key performance indicators such as volume, ASP, unit costs, efficiencies etc.
  • Analyze the profitability of new business opportunities and/or programs. Develop pro forma models and forecasts relating to new business operations opportunities.
  • Perform customer contract pricing reviews and analyses.
  • Support model development for budgeting, planning, pricing and costing.
  • Perform plan reviews and special analysis including reviewing proposals for major capital expenditures for conformity with business plans and economic justifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of year end schedules, reports and analyses.
  • Lead or participate in special projects, research and other duties as requested.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • 3/4 year experience in the role is the minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance/Accounting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Working knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools (e.g. Hyperion).
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to prepare, read, analyze, and interpret general accounting reports, data and written documents.
  • Ability to write reports, to effectively present information, and to respond to questions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems and develop financial models involving several variables and scenarios.
  • Fluent English is requested.
